I’ve had a few key things on my plate lately, and I think I’m actually keeping up. 🙌

One of the main things I’m working on is a new piece for my long-time client, beehiiv, all about how I grow and monetize my newsletter in just 1–2 hours a week.

Seriously, I feel so lucky to work with them, since good clients are rare these days, especially when you’re a niche writer like me.

It always gets me thinking…

Whenever I hear potential clients say a writer should be able to cover any topic, I’m like:

Right?! 👏

I wish more companies got this. It would make their content and results so much better. 📈

New collaboration

I’ve started partnering with a new brand, which develops a much better Canva alternative — Orshot.

The "Googlequake" isn't over…

In my previous email, I shared that Google’s June Core update is not over yet, even though Google’s team has reported completion on July 17th.

Since then, lots of websites have experienced a huge volatility in the rankings.

On August 7th, the SERP volatility score hit 9.4/10 😱 meaning Google is still moving things around.

I’ve been keeping an eye on these updates for years, and this one is unusually long with zero clear communication from Google about what’s going on. 🤷‍♀️

So if your traffic tanked or spiked lately, chances are it’s tied to this ongoing update.

I’m watching the trends closely and will keep you posted once (or if) things finally calm down. 🔍

Here’s what happened to my site lately: A surprise traffic spike overnight 🚨📈

I made a few small tweaks with Rankability lately to keep my money-making pages ranking well… but this was unexpected.

One of my older posts on Humanizing AI content, a repost from Medium, suddenly started blowing up again. 🔥
It’s not the first time this post’s been in and out of the top 10, so I suspect Google’s been testing how people interact with it.

But now it’s back, and I don’t think it’s random.

It’s ranking again because it ticks all the boxes for Google’s E-E-A-T guidelines. (I break down exactly how I do that in my SEO ebook. 📘)

OpenAI just announced a brand new version of ChatGPT-5, and I’m so excited to try it out.

ChatGPT has become my go-to content tool lately. It helps me turn my thoughts into clear paragraphs and even matches my tone of voice. It’s honestly made me a much faster creator. ⚡✍️

Now I’m curious to see what the new version can do and how I can get even more out of it.
