July 2025: Monthly Recap 📈

Sharing monthly performance updates.

Hello, my friend!

Popping into your inbox with my usual monthly recap — a behind-the-scenes look at what’s been happening in my life and business lately.

July was wild (in a good way)! 🎉

📈 I’ve had a few new SEO inquiries this month —3 new projects from UK and US brands for SEO content writing and strategy. Feels amazing to be in a place where I can actually choose who I want to work with. 🙌

💌 More brands (especially newsletter tools 👀) have been sliding into my inbox, asking for sponsorships. Right now, I charge $500–$1,000 for a sponsored spot after I personally test their tools. 😎

🛠️ Behind the scenes, I’ve been working a lot on revamping my website. It’s slowly shifting from “personal blog” to a standalone brand. I refreshed the messaging, redesigned the main pages, and there’s still more coming — more updates below.✨

😵‍💫 Oh, and if your rankings have been shaky lately, you’re not alone.

Google said its July Core Update was done on July 17... but rankings didn’t really start changing until a few days later.

We're not out of the Googlequake yet! Stay tuned and hang tight. 💥

💰 My site income passed USD $17,000 at the end of July! — Next month, I’ll likely hit my yearly goal of $20,000 from my website. 🤩

In July alone, my website brought in $2,529.20!

Let me break it all down for you... 👇

Crushing website goals 🚀

Remember how I shared my June earnings? That was $2,827.07 in total income.

But for now, here’s a quick update on how July went.

✅ Total earnings: $2,529.20
✅ Made $550 from brand sponsorships (another deal for $2,000 is signed, but since I’m still waiting for payment, more updates will be in August)
✅ Focusing on 4 affiliate partners that generate over 80% of all affiliate income

Even though income from the website isn’t always steady (it goes up and down for all sorts of reasons), July turned out pretty great despite the core update.

One more big update! 🚀

Below is a sneak peek at my Google Search Console chart showing how my organic traffic has been doing over the past 3 months.

There was a dip in views and impressions recently, thanks to the Google June Core update. It’s still a bit shaky out there, so it’s too early to say things have fully settled.

I’m happy to report that clicks are starting to bounce back! 🙌

If your site is going through some ups and downs too, don’t stress:

🚫 It’s not just about traffic.
✅ What really matters is getting leads, conversions, sales — anything that impacts your business goals.

In the meantime, I’ve kept doing what works: publishing helpful content and targeting money-making keywords with decent search volume and low to medium competition. 🎯

These are the keywords my website can realistically rank for and achieve top positions in organic search results.

If you are curious to learn more about my approach to SEO, I share it in detail in my SEO ebook.

What I worked on in July — My website revamp

After fixing a bunch of long-overdue technical fixes in June, I finally got back to my favorite part — updating the design and copy. ✍️🎨

My site runs on Elementor, so making changes is super easy. I’ve been having fun giving things a fresh new feel.

The home page got a complete makeover, and I’m loving how it turned out! 😍✨

The “About me” page has also got a fresh look:

The topic pages have also got a new look with a better content structure:

I followed two goals when updating the topic pages:

  • Improve internal linking between related pages

  • Make helpful resources more accessible for users

Content updates

✅ I gave my top-performing article on AI SEO tools a full revamp.

I cleaned it up by removing tools that don’t really deserve a spot on the list anymore, and I rewrote the tool descriptions to make them more useful. The idea? Help readers get the best info and keep the post strong during Google’s latest update. 🔄💪

✅ I’ve fully rewritten my Semrush review post to reflect on Semrush’s giant revamp that they’ve done in the past month.

It’s not just an SEO tool anymore. It’s now a whole bunch of marketing toolkits you can subscribe to separately. I actually like this change. It means you can pick what you need instead of paying for stuff you don’t. 🙌💼

Oh, and they just launched an AI Toolkit to track how brands are showing up in AI search results. Pretty cool, right? 🤖✨

✅ I’ve also revamped my SEO book post. I added more sneak peeks from my book so readers can get a feel for what’s inside. 📖👀

I also gave the page a more personal touch. It’s now ranking 2nd on Google! 🎯🔥 Goal = crushed.

✅ I’ve also dropped something new — an in-depth Search Atlas review! 🧪

In case you haven’t heard of it yet, Search Atlas is a brand new AI-powered SEO tool that’s going head-to-head with big names like Ahrefs and Semrush, but at a much more budget-friendly price. 💸

Definitely worth a look if you’re into SEO or content creation.

Check it out if you’re looking for a smarter (and more budget-friendly) way to manage SEO! 🚀

As always, every piece I publish helps me move closer to my business goals.
