From blog to brand: big changes + AI SEO talk

Hello, my friend!

Hey hey, it’s Friday — which means I’m back in your inbox with a few updates from the SEO world, my online biz, and some behind-the-scenes life stuff. 😊

This week has been a bit of a rollercoaster because… the 2-month-long technical revamp of my website is finally done! 🎉

On the outside, the site looks almost the same… but behind the scenes, it’s a whole new setup.

And as you can guess, nothing ever goes completely smoothly, so I spent most of Tuesday and Wednesday checking everything and making sure the SEO side of my website wasn’t messed up. 😅

This revamp is part of a bigger plan I’m working on for this year.

I’m shifting the site from being more of a “personal blog” to a real “standalone brand.”

Why?

Because Self Made Millennials is growing—more readers, more sponsors, more collabs. Just this week, I landed $1,500 in sponsorships (and said no to another $550 offer that didn’t quite fit).

Btw, if you are experiencing a fluctuation in your organic traffic, this might be caused by the Google June update, since it was launched on June 30th and it’s still undergoing.

My website was affected, and I’ll discuss it further in my upcoming Premium newsletter.

Ranking in AI search results: What I’ve learned

I’ve stayed quiet on the whole “AI is killing SEO” drama — mostly because there hasn’t been enough real data to say what’s actually happening.
