❄️ Snow, side hustles, and holiday cheer

How have you been doing lately? 😉

Before sitting down to write this newsletter, I was out shoveling snow off the driveway — a festive way to kick off a pre-Christmas Friday! 🎄❄️

Just a heads-up: clearing a driveway isn’t as easy as it looks. It’s a workout! 💪🚗

This week has been pretty chill for me—no client calls, no big projects. 🙌 

I’ve been trying to slow down and give my busy mind a break (which is easier said than done if you’re a creator, right?). 🧠💭

Even though I stepped away from client work, I couldn’t stop thinking about my online business and what I want to accomplish next year.

Here’s the thing: my goal has never been just to make a lot of money. 💰

Sure, it would be easy to get a job (something people around me love to suggest 🙃).

But the 9-5 life?

It’s just not for me anymore.

Once you get a taste of freedom, it’s hard to let it go. 🕊️ And honestly, freedom means so much more to me than money ever could.

So now, I’m on a bit of a “mission impossible.” 🚀 

I’m figuring out how to:
1️⃣ Make my services even more valuable for my clients.
2️⃣ Scale my side hustles while keeping things lean and running as a “company of one.”

My brain has been buzzing with ideas, and I can’t wait to share the best ones with you!

But first, I’m hitting pause to enjoy the holidays. 🎄✨

Google’s Holiday Surprise 🎄😅

Just as we wrapped up Google’s December core update (a quick one—it lasted only 6 days), here comes another one:

December 2024 spam update🚨

Search rankings are all over the place lately, so if you’ve got a website, you might see some big changes in your traffic—either spikes 📈 or drops 📉.

What’s happening to my website? 🤔 

It looks like Google is cleaning up the mess from October’s update and trying to bring back some balance to rankings and traffic.

But hold tight—it’s way too early to call the shots. This spam update could take weeks to fully settle.

For me, I’m keeping a close eye on my site.

It’s been a quiet moneymaker, pulling in over $8,000+ by now this year from multiple income streams, even though I’ve been juggling other projects.

The wild part?

Most of that income came from just a few key pages. Proof that the 80/20 rule is the real deal! 💡
