January 2025: Monthly Recap šŸ“ˆ

Sharing monthly performance updates.

Hello, my friend!

Can you believe it’s already February?

Feels like we just rang in the New Year, and now we’re deep into 2025. Time flies! ā³

I kicked off the year by reflecting on my business—client projects, brand collabs, website performance, and newsletter growth.

And I realized something: scaling up without burnout is tough.

That’s why my 2025 motto is less hassle, less effort, more output.

šŸŽÆ Biggest win in January

My website made $1,205.59!

  • $1,105.59 from affiliate commissions

  • $100 for mentioning a reputable brand in my content

P.S. If you’re a Premium member, you can check out the January affiliate marketing report here. You must be logged in with your email address to read it.

Here’s a quick look at what I accomplished solo on my website in January:

Google’s been favoring some of my content since the August update. So, I’m doubling down to achieve my goal of $20k from my website by the end of 2025.

I’m confident that my content strategy works, even though creating high-value content takes time. You have to optimize it, let it rank, and wait for the results!

Curious how I did it? šŸ¤”

I break it all down in my SEO ebook.

My SEO ebook is live! šŸ“–

The 4th ebook of my SEO ebook with 110 pages includes:

  • A case study on how my content outranked industry giants and ranked in the top 3 for multiple keywords

  • A case study on what I do when my website rankings drop

  • A step-by-step guide to finding, analyzing, and prioritizing primary & secondary keywords

  • How to create a solid content writing plan

  • How to craft SEO-friendly outlines

  • My best writing tips to make sure your content meets Google’s expectations

  • And more!

Here’s a little sneak peek of the ebook design! šŸ˜Ž

For a better experience, I recommend downloading the PDF ebook and reading it on your desktop. The ebook contains graphs and charts that may be difficult to view on mobile devices.

This is an actionable guide. So, I recommend implementing what you have learned on your website.

The ebook isn't compatible with Amazon Kindle yet.

On the fun side

My partnership with beehiiv

My Reddit experiment

I decided to dive into Reddit in January with a few things I wanted to figure out:

  • How to keep my comments on top of the highest-ranking posts

  • How to make affiliate sales through Reddit

  • How to drive more traffic to my website

I left my first comment on Reddit on January 16th, and here’s how much traffic I’ve brought to my website from Reddit by February. Not much yet, I know, but I’ll keep experimenting.

In-depth insights into Reddit marketing are available in my Premium Reddit case study.

An interview with Tilt Publishing

I wrapped up January with an awesome chat with Marc Maxhimer from Tilt Publishing! šŸŽ¤

We've talked about my solopreneur journey—from publishing my first Medium article years ago to now running my own online business, helping clients boost their online visibility, and managing my website + digital products.

Looking back at the past five years, it’s been a wild ride—definitely not always smooth. šŸ˜…

But if there’s one big lesson, it’s this: Our success is in our own hands!
