Can you grow your website using AI? 🤔
I use it. Do you?
Hi there,
How have you been doing lately? 😎
In this newsletter, I want to talk about using AI tools for content generation.
I’m sure you’ve seen tweets from people bragging about growing their websites using AI.
“I’ve published 50 blog posts today. Here’s how website impressions changed.”
Or
“Let me show you how you can easily grow a website with 100 AI posts a day.”
I see such tweets daily!
As an SEO expert, my response to these people is the following:
If you heavily rely on AI, be ready to face consequences, such as a Google penatly, drastic traffic and rankings decrease.
Google isn’t perfect, but it has already implemented a lot of algorithm updates to detect and downgrade unhelpful content from organic search results. More yet to come!
Here’s what I learned from publishing AI-generated content on my website.
It lacks personality
The following things distinguish AI content from human writing:
It lacks personality
Passive voice is used frequently
A lot of general sentences
No stories
No personal experience
No exclusive insights
No expertise
But it can rank!
If you target low-competition keywords, your AI-generated content will rank perfectly on Google.
Here’s an example of an article that I generated using Bard. 👇
The article performs pretty well, considering I published it without much editing.
It’s possible to grow your website with AI
I use KoalaWriter to create content optimized for target keywords.
The tool can quickly find related keywords based on your target keyword, generate content based on your outline, and optimize it.
It’s a great solution for content creators who don’t know SEO.
KoalaWriter helps me write:
Definitions
Product descriptions
Comparisons
Pros and cons
FAQ
and more!
What’s left is to edit the content and add unique insights, such as my personal opinion and experience.
This way, I can create a well-written article in 2-3 hours instead of 8-10 hours.
Note that this strategy works well if you target low and medium-competition keywords.
