I mentioned in my last newsletter that I’d share the details of how I made over $1K in affiliate income from my website.

My website’s traffic reached over 15,000 visitors in January 2025.

With more site visitors came more affiliate sales.

In fact, January was one of my best months for affiliate income — without even taking into account ebook sales or services.

Here’s how it all added up.

About half of my affiliate commissions come from one blog post.

The other half?

That’s from people who keep using the services every month. And honestly, that’s my favorite part — recurring revenue.

If someone signs up for a subscription through my link and sticks with it, I keep earning month after month.

Most of my affiliate partners offer monthly subscriptions, but not all bring in recurring commissions. Some users just need a tool for a short time and cancel once they’re done.

So, hitting $1K+ in recurring affiliate income takes more than just one good post.

It’s about spreading your efforts across multiple affiliate programs and always testing new ways to attract users.

What’s next?

In the first three months of 2025, I’m all in on SEO content writing to speed up my website’s monetization.

I’ve found some goldmine topics — easy to write, big results. My favorite combo.

Every keyword I choose has one goal: making money, not just driving traffic.

Here’s how I kicked off February:

• Semrush Review: I updated this well-performing post to increase its rankings

• AI SEO Tools: I updated my top money-making page; namely, I featured a new SEO tool

• Content Writing Tools for SEO: I updated this blog post, which ranked in 10th position but has the potential to rank higher

And that’s just in the first 10 days.

I’ve got more content lined up this month. While I work on fresh posts, my site will keep bringing in affiliate commissions.

The goal? $20k by year-end. Let’s see if I get there. 🚀

My Reddit experiment

Remember when I said I was testing out Reddit? Well, I’m still at it! 😄

I’m curious if it could be a solid traffic source for my website and my clients.

So, I posted in the Blogging subreddit, and guess what?

27,000 views and 96 upvotes in just 48 hours! 🤯

I was shocked because neither Medium nor LinkedIn ever gave me that kind of reach so fast.

These posts are part of my little experiment. I’m figuring out how Reddit works and how to make my links stick around.
